SHANTELL MORENO
Shantell Moreno received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Family Studies from the University of New Mexico in 2017, and her Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from New Mexico Highlands University in 2021. Shantell is currently rostered in Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), and is also trained to provide Circle of Security Parenting, and Parent Management Training.
Shantell has vast experience working with children, adolescents and adults, but primarily focuses on ages 0-8. Due to each family having their own individual needs, modalities are adjusted when needed but with this age range she finds that play is the best form of communication for a child. Alongside this, Shantell knows how critical it is for there to be parental involvement throughout the therapeutic process to help form healthier relationships, attachment and understandings of one another within the parent-child dynamic. Shantell's focus within therapy is to help children develop healthy coping skills, appropriate ways of expressing themselves, strengthen relationships, and ultimately support them in finding their own unique voice.
