RACHEL HIPPLE

Rachel is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor from Albuquerque, New Mexico. She earned her master’s degree in counseling from the University of New Mexico in 2026 and her bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from Tulane University in 2020. 

Rachel’s previous work experience includes administering neuropsychological assessments and supporting neurodivergent children, adolescents, and families through the testing process.

She also has experience in the classroom setting as a teacher’s assistant and tutor. Rachel has counseled people across the lifespan navigating various human experiences such as life transitions, anxiety, depression, ADHD, body image, relationship issues, LGBTQIA+ identities, grief, and trauma. After completing her internship at Small Steps, Rachel is excited to continue on as a staff member providing therapy services for children, adolescents, adults, and families.

One of the greatest privileges that Rachel experiences through her work as a counselor is being a safe and trusted person in her clients’ lives. Rachel hopes to create an environment where clients of all ages know that who they are matters. Through encouragement and collaboration, Rachel aims to support clients and their caregivers in deepening their connection with themselves, each other, their environments, and an inner sense of meaning. She recognizes the therapeutic significance of exploring intersecting identities, trans-generational cycles, and the powerful ways that systemic factors influence our lives. Rachel hopes to provide a warm, curious, and growth-oriented mindset to support her clients’ in developing new skills and striving toward their goals. Rachel is a firm believer in the power of play and person-centered connection in fostering healing and resilience.
