MORGAN KAPLAN, MA, LMHC

Morgan earned her Masters in Counseling from the University of New Mexico and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of New Mexico. She completed her clinical training at Manzanita Counseling Center and Small Steps Child Counseling, where she provided therapy for children, adolescents, adults, and families.

Morgan has experience working with adults and children ages 3+ in both individual and family settings. She integrates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, art, and play therapy techniques. Morgan also enjoys leading social–emotional therapy groups for children, where she fosters connection, emotional growth, and positive peer interactions. 

Morgan believes in the importance of strengthening the parent–child relationship and views therapy as a collaborative process between children, caregivers, and the therapist. She is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment where children can express themselves, develop coping skills, and grow in resilience. Guided by the hope of leaving the world a better place than she found it, Morgan approaches her work with warmth, empathy, and a commitment to scientifically backed therapy practices.
