KRISTINA BLAKNEY

Kristina Blakney is a Licensed Master Social Worker. She earned her master’s degree from New Mexico Highlands University. Her undergraduate in psychology is from the University of New Mexico. Kristina has worked in the helping community beginning in 2014 at the University of New Mexico’s Center for Development and Disability. Kristina began her journey with Small Steps as an intern. She has experience using many different styles of treatment and tailoring treatment to the needs of the client.  

Kristina became a social worker because she wanted to make a difference and provide support and healing to children and their caregivers. Kristina believes everyone possesses positive uniqueness and the capacity to meet their needs and goals. She hopes to help people recognize their own strengths and support them with their growth and healing journey. Kristina’s mother is a social worker and Kristina is proud to continue the family tradition of helping others succeed in living their most fulfilling life.
