DESIREE ORTIZ

Desiree Ortiz, is a Licensed Master Social Worker. Desiree earned her Master’s degree from New Mexico Highlands University in May 2017. She started her career in social work in child welfare. Desiree gained much of her experience during her work with Children Youth and Families Department as a Permanency Worker. Desiree has experience working with children of all ages and families in the trauma based population that include abuse and neglect. Desiree has experience in different theoretical frameworks including using a trauma based theoretical approach. She became a social worker to help individuals in need and wanting to make a difference. Desiree is looking forward to providing clinical social work here at Small Steps.
